Recently, president of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Wu Yansheng led a delegation to attend the Paris Air Show in France and discussed the cooperation with key European institutions in aerospace industry. Then he went to Italy to visit the related aerospace companies and research institutions, and attended at the inauguration ceremony of the China-Italy Joint Research Center (JRC) for Laser Remote Sensing.

During the visit to Italy, Wu Yansheng attended at the inauguration ceremony of the China-Italy Joint Research Center for Laser Remote Sensing and visited Thales satellite factory. The Chinese ambassador to Italy Li Ruiyu also attended the ceremony and said in his opening speech at the ceremony that the China-Italy Joint Research Center (JRC) for Laser Remote Sensing is an important step for China Aerospace science and technology industry to go out and establish overseas R & D centers.

In September 2012 after the construction of the China-Italy Joint Research Center started in Beijing, scientific researches and personnel training have been carried out and achieved gratifying results.
