China Plans to Launch Night Light Remote Sensing Satellite in 2017

China plans to launch the world’s first professional night light remote sensing satellite Luojia-1A in the end of 2017, which is developed by Wuhan University research team and related research institutes. The satellite weighs about 10kg, will focus on the application of luminous remote sensing technology. It is equipped with a high sensitivity luminous camera and the ground resolution is 100 meters. Luojia-1A will supervise the domestic and global macro-economic situation and provide the government with objective data.
